Staff Spotlight: Jack Patterson
Jack Patterson joined us in November 2020 as our Programs and Administrative Assistant. Jack comes to us with a passion for problem solving, systems analysis, and policy development. With a range of experience including time in non-profit administration, community organization, data management, and policy advocacy, Jack is eager to dive into CCAHEC’s work and help improve and expand our programs while providing administrative support to the team.
With a deep commitment to improving communities’ collective well-being, Jack is thrilled to be part of the CCAHEC team to advance the mission of building capacity.
Jack was born in England to an English father and a Bermudian-American mother and came to the states when he was young. After over a decade in the Chicago area, he moved out to Colorado to study at the University of Denver. He studied Public Policy, Ecology & Biodiversity, and Political Science, bringing together a range of interests around what he calls “human impact”. With a never-ending curiosity to understand systems, Jack enjoys delving into history, policy, law, and data as he approaches challenges.
In his free time, Jack is an avid cook and baker, book lover, and dog obsessed. If he is not reading his latest book or all the news he can get, you will probably find Jack either in the kitchen or out and about with his partner and pup (only if it is warmer than fifty degrees!). He loves strategy games, getting into long debates, and generally learning whenever he can! If you ever find a good political biography, chocolate recipe, or favorite kind of tea, please make sure to send your recommendations Jack’s way!
